South and North and South Again!

Hello all,

Sorry it's been soo long!!!  We have not had steady internet access and have been on the road for the last 12 days.  We'll try to catch you all up to speed in two posts though.

So, just so you can follow our very confusing travel route...
These photos start when we were still in Nelson with Nick and Bonnie.  We then took the ferry back to the north island and bussed from Wellington back to Auckland.  We split up for a couple days (Emily back to Coromandel to visit Les and Linda while Sadie stayed in Auckland), then met up to fly back down to Christchurch for a few days.  Enjoy the photos!

While in Nelson, Bonnie showed Emily the "correct way" to eat Tim Tams

The ferry boat ride, so cold!

Enjoying two of our favorite pass times on the ferry - coffee and journaling

Bonnie sent some pumpkin pie with us though!
Happy Thanksgiving!
(actually, we spent all of Thanksgiving on a bus, which wasn't so fun)

 Sunset from the ferry!

Omaha Beach: Larryn took us for a lovely day trip up the coast

Once again, we can't help but do hand stands on the beach!

Bev, Larryn's friend, also joined us on our fun adventure

and we went to the U2 CONCERT!
It was pretty awesome!

Jay-Z opened though... not our favorite, to say the least

the next day, Emily had another new expereince...
she got her first tattoo
(note the nervous smile)

 Go big or go home!
On the ribs, Emily had to distract herself with National Geogaphic
 Back to the Coromandel Penninsula
Les took Emily on a nice drive and they ended up visiting a famous pottery workshop
 sweet Pahewekawa tree
(the Kiwis call them Christmas trees because they bloom bright red flowers during the holidays)

 Pavlova!  Another Kiwi classic.

Les brought us homegrown roses at the airport!  So sweet!

Laura (in black - our sweet friend and hostess in Christchurch)
took us on a roadtrip too!

Hamish (Sadie's borther) arrived, just in time to celebrate Emily's birthday!

 Making waffles called Woodles...

because they were shaped like penguins!  How cool is that!

Well, that's about it for our Nelson, Auckland, Christchurch adventures.  Stay tuned for our road trip adventures soon to come!

Blessings!
Emily and Sadie
